Lexi Trummert Golf

My golf journey

I began my athletic journey at 3 years old as a dancer.  I competed all styles of dance (ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop), practicing year-round for 16-20 hours a week, until I was 13 years old.  It included intense exercise training learning both individual and team style routines.  I learn discipline, work ethic and how to be critically critiqued in how to move my body.  In the fall of 2020, I picked up a golf club for the first time.

My love for the game grew rapidly, switching my sport from dancer to golfer instantly, but bringing with me all the foundational skills I had developed as an athlete. Being newer to competitive golf than many my age, I am even more determined to study the game and advance my skills to be a leader in the sport.  The footwork may be different than my earlier career as an athlete, but the passion and fire I feel to master this new sport, is insatiable.

Testimonials

I have had the pleasure of having Lexi on our U17 PGA Junior League team.  She represented Team Meridian Valley CC with pure class.  Her attitude and play were exceptional as she lead the team to Regionals.  Three words come to mind in describing Lexi: Competitive, Committed and Driven.  No one will outwork her.  I love being around her.

Lexi came to me a little more than 3 years ago to learn how to golf. What has transpired in this short period of time since, is nothing short of amazing! I would attribute this growth to her relentless work ethic. Lexi is willing to learn and do whatever it takes to be great at this game. Not only is she a hard worker on the golf course, but also in the classroom, and with golf community events and activities.

Lastly, Lexi is one of the most genuine and nicest young ladies I have ever met and is a pleasure to work with.

-Coach Chris Ming, Swing Coach
I have had the opportunity to coach Lexi in high school golf for the last 3 years. Lexi came to us with a lot of talent and a love for the game, but she has continued to put in the work to improve in all aspects of her game over that time period. She is a relentless worker and competitor, but at the same time is kind to all she comes in contact with. She has provided a positive example for our younger golfers and her dedication has raised the bar for her teammates. Even though golf is an individual sport, she has embraced the team concept of high school golf. She is well respected by her teammates and is the first to support them in their own journey as golfers.

Lexi is one of the hardest working athletes I have ever had the privilege to coach. She is a team first golfer who understands the best way to help her team is for her to be at her best. Lexi has adopted an attitude of constant practice and preparation for both the physical and mental components of the game of golf.  The players who spend the focused hours of practice and competing that Lexi does are likely at the top levels of collegiate golf and beyond, where Lexi will be soon.
